LESSON OVERVIEW

This is an advanced class. This course is intended for sworn law enforcement officers and non-sworn law enforcement investigators or inspectors who conduct interviews. The class is also appropriate for prosecuting attorneys and judges and can be customized for specific audiences. The course is designed to improve an interviewer's skill at the art of reading body language, interpreting verbal and non-verbal cues and perceiving deception by studying the facial expressions and eye movements of the interviewee. At the conclusion of the course the class participant will be able to apply learned skills to gain valuable testimony and important evidence, to produce more confessions and higher conviction rates, to improve employee screening and most importantly to increase officer safety.
